What You'll Do

As a Technical Writer at Victron, you'll play a key role in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports our diverse product range. Your work will help customers, installers, and developers better understand and use our technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update technical documentation (manuals, datasheets, application notes, etc.).
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and support teams to gather accurate information.
  • Occasionally contribute to commercial content such as video scripts, blog posts, and marketing materials.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all documentation.
  • Engage with the Victron Community to stay informed and gather feedback.

What we're looking for

  • You have 10+ years of proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the electrical or electronics domain.
  • Background in electrical engineering or a related technical field (nice to have).
  • Familiar with the Victron Community and ideally have been an active contributor.
  • Passionate about electrical products and systems.
  • Self-driven and proactive in seeking out the information you need.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Able to work from one of our offices in Almere, Eindhoven, or Groningen.

Sales Engineer New Zealand – Pacific

Job profile: Sales Engineer (Remote / contractor – Based in New Zealand)
Reports to: Regional sales director
Workplace: Remote, with regular travel in own region

Victron Energy is seeking a technically skilled and commercially strong Sales Engineer to strengthen our presence and support our partners across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
This role combines technical expertise, system knowledge, partner enablement and business development, ensuring that Victron solutions are applied effectively across Marine, Professional Vehicles, Off-Grid, and Solar Power applications.

You’ll work closely with Distributors, OEMs, EPCs, and installers, guiding and teaching them how to design, configure, and implement Victron-based systems, while also supporting their commercial success in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate, guide, and empower distributors, OEMs, EPCs, and installers to independently design, sell and configure Victron-based systems.
  • Conduct structured product and system training (on-site) to enhance partners’ technical competence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director and distribution partners to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Deliver pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including system simulations, configuration reviews, and integration advice.
  • Assist in partner-driven marketing and training events to showcase Victron solutions.

Requirements

  • Based in New Zealand and willingness to travel. (Up to 50% of the time).
  • 8–10 years of experience in technical sales, system engineering, or application support within the energy, solar, or marine or vehicle sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with Victron Energy or similar power electronics products (inverters, chargers, BMS, monitoring).
  • Electrical or systems engineering experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with remote teams.

In our engineering-driven and fast-moving environment, this role combines deep technical product ownership with hands-on commercial execution.

What are your key responsibilities?

  • Drive growth for the Battery Charger and DC Distribution portfolio through product strategy and market positioning.
  • Execute product strategy and work closely with engineering to drive development from concept to launch
  • Own and create hands-on marketing content including presentations, datasheets, application notes, and launch materials.
  • Define product positioning and translate technical features into clear customer value propositions.
  • Lead product launches, including sales training and go-to-market preparation.
  • Assess market trends and customer needs to guide product enhancements.
  • Operate as a central connector between engineering, sales, and marketing, actively aligning teams and driving execution.
  • Manage product certifications and quality processes.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience in energy storage, batteries, or power electronics
  • Strong knowledge of battery technologies, charging strategies, and energy management systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel internationally as needed
  • Comfortable in a pragmatic, low-process environment where you take initiative, create structure where needed, and actively drive execution
  • Ability and ambition to grow into broader portfolio and strategic responsibilities as the company continues to scale
